Fun in the Sun

Finley had a great time today with Sadie and Megan and Mommy. The weather was finally nice enough to hit the pool - the first time in FOREVER! This time Mommy was smart enough to bring the life jacket. It made ALL the difference. Finley walked into the pool all by herself and even let go of me (she doesn't do that on dry land so this is a real feat!). She let Sadie swing her around and she stuck her face in the water a ton of times. She laughed so hard and had such a good time she plum wore herself out. Our walk home actually turned out to be quite an adventure, too. First, Megan saw a banana on the ground and said, "Don't step on the banana! You'll slip and fall." Of course, we all laughed and avoided it - except for Finley, who stepped right in it and really did slip! For a fan of physical humor like myself, it was pretty hilarious. Then, halfway home, Finley stopped and wouldn't go any further. She says, "I'm peeing!" and pee starts pouring out of her swim diaper and suit. I had to change her pull-up right on the side of the road and she left a lovely puddle in the middle of the sidewalk. It was a great day - and as we all know, the days of summer are quickly dwindling... :(
