Finley had her first swimming lesson at Foss yesterday. She was so excited to put her new ballerina suit on and she and Sadie even had matching cover-ups. When we got to the pool, she said, "We're at swimming lessons! Whoo-haaaa!" Then, when we got inside and took the tour, she waved at a little girl coming into the changing area and said, "I like saying hi to people." She couldn't get in the pool area fast enough, but once the lesson started, she was pretty timid. Mommy had to sit with her for a little bit and when her toes hit the water, she immediately said she had to go potty. After taking her to the bathroom and giving her a pep-talk, Finley got right in the water and did a great job. I'm pretty sure it was the Cinderella headband I promised her if she got in the pool that made all the difference. We're all about bribery!

That's great, Finley. Can't wait to go swimming with you this summer. We'll have to make swimming dates.

This is just precious. Grandma and Grandpa are so proud of you, brave mermaid girl!! And I'm glad you like saying "Hi" to people - you are a good friend, Finley! Can't wait to see you swim!!
