Finley's new trick at 12 1/2 months is to "Gimme five!" If you say it to her, she slaps your hand over and over and laughs. She still HATES getting her diaper changed - by us, anyway. She lays perfectly still for the daycare ladies. She also still loves music and was lucky enough to get a personal kid concert by my cousin Paul at my Uncle Terry's birthday party last Sunday. I also had to add the cutest picture from the other day. I was in the kitchen and Finley walked into the living room. She was awfully quiet, so I came around the corner to peek in on her. She was sitting in her Elmo chair reading a book and drinking a bottle, content as can be. She thinks she's such a big girl now that she has her own chair!

Reading in the Elmo chair? Too cute!
ok - the picture in the chair is real cute,,,,but...I can't help but notice that while all the little girls are sitting listening to the music, Finley is the one sitting with rapt attention as he plays..that little girl is going to be a musician some day!
I miss you, Finley! Thanks for the card and picture--hopefully I'll get home for Easter to see you!

You'll probably find her in the chair with a pencil and a crossword puzzle next week! She has SUCH a little personality already, rather thoughtful and introspective. She's definitely taking it all in. Loveable, loveable.
Mommy also wants to point out that, while Finley is listening intently to Paul, she is also holding a lovely, sparkly shoe. She gets more like her mother every day!
Speaking of the shoe, that would be my daughter's, who is apparently taking after HER mother... and becoming a stripper.
