Finley just told me that there was a note on her whiteboard easel from her "secret advi." She said, "Sadie told me that. Isn't it cool? I have a secret advi!" After some deciphering of the message on her board and recalling Megan's interpretation of it, I realized that Finley was talking about a secret admirer.

You Can't Always Get What You Want and more...

Before Sienna was born, Grandma Julie came to stay and help make hotdishes. Finley was being her usual spunky self all day long and kept asking for things she didn't need or wasn't supposed to have. Grandma Julie started singing "You Can't Always Get What You Want" when she would ask for something. Throughout the day, we sang it many times and Finley learned the song herself. That night, when we were getting ready for bed, I told Finley to give Grandma a kiss goodnight. Finley wouldn't and Grandma asked her, "Please...Give me a kiss and a hug." Finley looked at Grandma and started singing, "You can't always get what you want."

When Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Kevin took Finley home from the hospital the night we had Sienna, they stopped at McDonalds for a happy meal on the way home. Finley had her usual chicken nuggets, fries, and milk and ate about half of it. Grandma said she started bussing her dish and putting her nuggets in the fridge. Grandma asked Finley, "Are you putting your food away so you can eat it tomorrow?" Finley answered, "Yep. That's my plan."
