Baby's First Post

Now that we have a second Bernhardt-Peterson on the way, we thought we would add him/her to Finley's blog. The first picture was taken on 12/29/2009 when Mommy was 7 weeks and the second picture was taken on 2/23/2009 now that Mommy is 15 weeks. Mommy's tummy has gotten bigger and smaller during this time period due to her bout with the stomach flu and morning sickness. Now that she's feeling better (flu-wise anyway), it's quickly growing again. If she keeps up with her cravings - candy, cookies, cinnamon rolls, waffles, and Taco Bell, she'll be as big as a house very soon!

Finley's 3rd Birthday!

Finley spent her 3rd birthday in bed ALL DAY LONG! She had a bad cough and fever and she wouldn't even get out of bed to open her presents from Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Kevin or Mom and Dad! It was pretty sad. She got new legos, a purse with make-up, a new swimming suit to wear to the swimming lessons she's starting soon, and her favorite of all time, a Sesame Street cd player. She loves the cd player so much that she has woken mom up 3 times in the middle of the night to listen to it! When Finley started feeling better, we went to Grandma Julie's and had some birthday cake and presents with Jimmy and Grandma. Finley got some brand new princess undies and lipgloss, a beautiful dress fit for a princess, and a princess bike helmet! She also got to play with Grandma Julie's coolest Noah's Ark. Of course, our little OCD girl LOVES matching up the pairs. Now, we have Finley's birthday party and Grandma and Grandpa's anniversary party to look forward to at the Holiday Inn with the rest of the family this weekend. Happy 3rd birthday, Princess!

Owie, Tummy!

This picture sums up how Mommy, Daddy, and Finley have been feeling in the last week. Finners started it all by bringing home the stomach flu from school about a week and a half ago and Mommy got pummeled on Valentine's Day. Daddy got a weaker version just after and we're all still trying to recover. On top of the all-day morning sickness, Mommy has really been worn out. We are loving living in Savage - especially being sick. It's so nice to be able to bring Finley to daycare and come home and rest. I also love being able to take my time after school and not worry about getting on the road before traffic gets too bad. Now, we're just patiently waiting for our house to be ours.

Update

Sorry it's been so long everybody, but we've had our plates full in the last month! We finally moved to Savage - just not to the house we thought we'd move to. We are now in Megan and Sadie's basement and Finley is enjoying every minute of it! So is Mommy since she now can basically roll out of bed and go to work, although Daddy is taking some time to adjust to his commute. Finley has been growing up fast - especially now that she has a "big sister". This is good practice for when she becomes a big sister in August! Finley is 100% sure she is going to be getting a sister named Sissy and I can say with 100% certainty that she will be disappointed on at least half of her wish.
