God Bless America...

and Grandma Joyce for having this lovely, singing teddy bear. Finley learned a new song - after playing this about 800,000 times. After awhile, she even added her own actions!

Finley's San Frannies 2009

Finley's San Frannies came for a much-too-short visit before school started on Monday. We spent Thursday shopping in Uptown after a breakfast at Nanny's fave, French Meadow. Finley did great until about 4 o'clock when she started getting really tired and decided it would be fun to take her shirt off in Urban Outfitters. Grandma Julie took her for the evening so we could have an adult evening downtown and then we spent a relaxing weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's in Waseca. Finley and Sadie played hard and so did the adults. Paige painted an entire tryptich over the course of two days and Mommy got a painting started for Finley. I know I've said it before, but Finley truly is an artist. When we returned home on Sunday, she sat outside with Paige and painted with her own paints for quite some time. It makes both her mommy and daddy very proud!

Finley's Trip to the MN Zoo

To end the summer, Finley accompanied her Grandma Belva, Grandpa Tim, Cousin Veta, and others to the MN Zoo. Mommy didn't go because everyone knows how much she loves animals, but I heard it was a great time. Finley still wears her turtle visor and she LOVES her pink monkey that she aptly named Punky. When she tripped and fell on Punky and it started making monkey noises, we were all pleasantly surprised.
