Duluth with Auntie, Uncle, Grandma, Mom and Dad

Here are some lovely pictures that Uncle Luke took on our weekend vacation to Duluth. We lucked out and had gorgeous fall weather and we crammed a lot of activity into our two short days. This was a special trip for Grandma Julie, as she brought her grandbaby to her homeland for the first time. Most special was our trip to Gooseberry Falls. Finley was enamored by the water the second she saw it and didn't want to leave because she was having so much fun throwing rocks. We hiked to the falls and enjoyed the gorgeous views. Afterwards, we went out to eat and enjoyed fabulous food and beer before playing games by the fire. The next day, we had a lovely breakfast, followed by a trip to Canal Park where we shopped, walked to the lighthouse, watched some crazy guy feed the birds (notice Cam's special treat on his back!), and watched a ship come under the bridge. This was only Mom's third trip to Duluth and she also enjoyed it thoroughly. I think Duluth is the San Francisco of the North. If only it weren't so DARN COLD!

Long Time No Blog

OK, I finally took some time out to blog and I've tried 3 times to download all these cute pics of Finners and it only will let me get download these two! At least they're cute ones. Here, Finley is eating her Mommy's favorite dessert, Grandma B.'s lemon cake. Finley seems to love it as much as her mother. Everytime I dig into a piece, Finley goes crazy and says, "Pls, pls", which if you've heard her say please, you know that's exactly what it sounds like. The second picture is of Grandma and Grandpa Peterson at her cousin Veta's baptism. She loves looking at this picture. She can almost say Grandpa and Grandma now, which is good since she has so many of them. What a lucky (and spoiled) girl she is! Also, since the last time I blogged, Finley has learned quite a few new phrases. Her best and clearest beside her old classic, "Where'd it go?", are "Bus!" and "Here you go." She's a cutie!

Rub a Dub Dub

Sorry for the lack of blogging, but the Bernhardt-Peterson's have been awfully busy with a stinker of an 18-month-old. She has been acting like a little terror as of late - most likely due to the fact that she has headed back to daycare with the start of school. Of course, she's already sick - she had diarrhea after the first 3 days and a runny nose after the first 4. She hasn't been sleeping at home or at daycare, for the most part, and she has thrown at least one major tantrum every day since going back. As usual, she's a perfect angel when with anyone else, but she is definitely punishing her mommy and daddy. I guess I shouldn't say "with anyone else" because even the daycare ladies have told me she's been in a couple grumpy moods. She still won't go to the toddler room in the morning. When she left in the spring, she was still in the baby room, and she just won't move onto the next phase. She cries the second we walk past her old room, but she's fine if I drop her off with Miss Kate and the babies. It's been so cute to pick her up the last couple of times, though, because she's been outside playing on the playground and she gets to hang with her big cousin Sadie for a little bit while both groups are out there. Sadie is always holding her hand, taking her around with the big kids (cousin Mikaylea included). What a nice, big extended family she has.

Our Little Ladybug!

Not much to say other than Finley is the cutest little ladybug we've ever seen! I'm sure you all agree :)
