Back from Tejas

Mommy went to Austin, Texas, for 4 days for a conference and came back to find an injured Finners. I guess while away, Finley fell on the pavement and skinned her face. The scabs are starting to fall off now and I've been neosporin-ing it often. It doesn't seem to bother her, so that's good. While away, I was able to visit my college roommate, Allison, and, except for the time spent in the actual meetings I had to attend, I had a blast. Lots of Mexican food and Amy's ice cream and swimming. It had been 3 years since I'd been to Texas, so it was kind of like coming home after a long time. I found the cutest onesie at the music store Al works at and Finley loves to feel the design (it's felt). It was so great to see her again after my mini-vacation. She's so funny. Her new thing is to play in her bathtub seat with her bath toys - but not in the bathtub!

Per Grandma Brenda's Orders...

To which the title alludes, Grandma Brenda is feeling lonesome for her grandbaby and has requested new pics. As you can see, Finley has regressed in her eating skills and now enjoys pouring her pudding and cereal and applesauce and whatever else all over herself and her surroundings. She also modeled a beautiful new dress from Grandma Julie and the cutest vest from Mommy (4 bucks at Baby Gap). I just think it's hilarious when babies wear big people styles, which is why I also picked up a new pair of skinny jeans and a pair of wide legs for her (all on sale, of course). Today, Finners has been a very busy girl playing with anything she can get her hands on. She just put her Elmo chair on the ottoman (she's strong!) and thought that was pretty cool. She has also learned how to put her rainboots on by herself without anyone showing her how and she wants to wear them 24/7. Just a little bit ago, she even wanted her blow-up Twins stick to wear them, that's how much she loves them - Thanks, San Frannies! Hope this helps, Grandma!

San Frannies 2008

We're sad to see them go, but the San Frannies left us with some wonderful memories! We stayed very busy for 10 days - going to the Mall of America, eating at lots of great restaurants, barbecueing, playing at the lakes, posing at the Stone Arch Bridge, dancing in authentic Flemenco dresses from Spain, playing with Chris Fett's new puppy, enjoying a couple of weddings, and much, much more. Finley is very exhausted after being showered with attention for so long - and, frankly, her parents are pretty tired, too! Can't wait till we see the San Frannies again!!
